This explains where the CMOS battery is located on the Acer Aspire 8920 battery
Introduction
Can someone please tell me where the RTC battery (cmos battery) of the Acer aspire 8920 laptop is located?
Turn over the laptop and gain access to the hard drive and ram expansion ports. Remove the right hard drive.T o the right of the hard drive bay you will see a very small plug with one red and one black wire. This is attached to the battery. These two images should help illistrate the location...
To reset your CMOS or gain access to the BIOS (when Alt+F2 fails). Unplug this connector and leave the laptop for about 30 minutes, or over night perferably. Attach this plug again and reboot the machine.
